Coordinated Access Round Table (CART) Referrals

“The Lethbridge Housing Authority (LHA), in pursuit of its mission to combat homelessness, administers a recovery- focused Coordinated Access Round Table (CART) in partnership with various community and funded agency partners. The primary aim of CART is to minimize obstacles that individuals face in accessing the appropriate support when needed, achieved through an improvement of the three C’s- Communication, Coordination and Cooperation among service providers. The fundamental functions of CART encompass access, evaluation, prioritization, and placement. Intake workers are responsible for providing access and evaluation services, while a placement committee manages prioritization and placement functions.”

Many of the individuals that are seeking support in our community are facing housing stability or homelessness as a primary concern. In these complex situations where housing concerns are at the forefront, referrals are able to be made to a number of service providers that range from supporting individuals in either finding and maintaining market housing to those that focus on more intensive 24-hr supportive housing.

All referrals to housing supports and programs are done through the Coordinated Access Round Table (CART) which is convened by the Lethbridge Housing Authority (LHA).

CART Meetings take place weekly with referrals made to eligible programs.

Referral sources may be expected to present the referral at the meeting and provide additional information before a referral is made.
