These programs are available only to eligible Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD).
Individuals who are determined eligible for PDD funding may access any of the listed programs including Home Supports & Respite Services, based on referrals from their PDD caseworker.
Anyone may call Edenbridge office and speak with a Caseworker for more information. Anyone including Family, Guardian, and individual needing to access services.
Self-referrals are only accepted for Edenbridge Private Supports, private pay is available for the Private Supports.
Home Supports
Supported Independent Living
The independent people we serve live alone in their own homes or apartments and need only limited support in a few areas of life. individuals living in their own home who will receive Supported Independent Living services will be supported hourly to live and participate in the community as independently as possible. These services will be developed strictly on an individual basis and will reflect following: Community Inclusion, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility, Location, Informed Choice, Self-Determination, and Permanency.

Individuals that may require supervision or some hands on support with their daily living skills may choose a Supporting Family or Supporting Roommate setting. These supports are provided in a home where the living arrangements are shared between the support worker and the individual. A Support Home provides individualized services that encourage individual responsibility, freedom to make choices, as well as the opportunity to develop independent living skills. Support homes are chosen with a focus to developing positive community relationships and are congruent with: Community Inclusion, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility, Location, Informed Choice, Self-Determination, and Permanency.

Overnight staffed residence
An Overnight Staffed Residence is a choice for individuals requiring more care than can be provided in a Support Home. These arrangements offer up to 24 hour support in an environment that is considered to be their own home. Individuals receiving supports in these settings will also be provided opportunity to make their own choices as well having appropriate responsibilities. This environment encourages personal progress as well as building important community relationships. These services will also be developed strictly on an individual basis and will reflect the following: Community Inclusion, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility, Location, Informed Choice, Self-Determination, and Permanency. Edenbridge ensures these supports and choices are taking place through monthly (or more frequent as needed) meetings with the individual and their support worker. Documentation of these meetings is kept and guardians are provided with a monthly summary of services.

Community Access Services provides community-based supports with an emphasis on accessing community resources and building relationships as they participate in various activities. Individuals are supported with exploring their interests and with pursuing their goals around developing personal skills and abilities. The Community Access activities may have a recreation or volunteer component in the community. The focus of these supports is to promote full and inclusive lives for individuals, to assist in developing valued societal roles, and reflect the following: Community Inclusion, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility, Location, Informed Choice, Self-Determination, and Permanency.

Respite
In-Home Respite:
is provided for individuals who may require support while their family or primary support worker requires some time off from their regular schedule. These supports are an extension of the supports that an individual receives while in their support home. Individuals continue to receive individualized supports that provide opportunity for personal growth, to develop independent living skills, encourage individual responsibility, as well as freedom to make choices.
Out of Home Respite:
is provided for individuals who may require occasional overnight support while their family or primary support worker requires some time off from their regular schedule. These supports are an extension of the supports that an individual receives while in their support home. Individuals continue to receive individualized supports that provide for the opportunity for personal growth, to develop independent living skills, encourage individual responsibility, as well as freedom to make choices.
Private Supports
Edenbridge provides personalized community support tailored to each individual’s interests, goals, and needs. Supports may include social and recreational activities, community participation, volunteering, support and transportation at medical appointments, shopping and errands, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication reminders, post-hospital support, and respite for caregivers. Our Community Service Coordinators work with individuals and/or guardians to create flexible support plans, connect with available community resources, and match individuals with compatible staff. Hourly and daily rates are available. Anyone can inquire or self-refer directly through Edenbridge for private supports. A formal diagnosis is not required for a person to receive private supports.

Supportive Community Treatment Order Program
A Community Treatment Order (CTO), under the Mental Health Act, is a tool intended to assist someone in complying with psychiatric treatment while living in the community. A CTO is a treatment and care plan that outlines care specific to medication compliance, there are Albertans all across the province on CTO’s. The Supportive Community Treatment Order Program began and has been operating since 2011 between Edenbridge Family Services and Recovery Alberta (formerly Alberta Health Services). The Supportive CTO Program is for individuals in Recovery Alberta's Southwest Zone who meet the Recovery Alberta eligibility criteria and may require additional mental health supports.
